• Initial consultation where I find out a little bit about the person I’m teaching. From this I put together a tailor made yoga regime that meets a student’s own particular needs

• Ongoing one to one or small group sessions where students work closely with me receiving in depth help and assistance with alignment, breath work and generally finding out how to get the most from their practice

• A chance to explore and benefit from postures and practices that are not usually available in the mainstream classes giving students the opportunity to find out more about the meaning behind yoga

Our Yoga teacher is Shirley Smith

"I have been practising yoga for over 10 years and am a qualified Vajrasati yoga teacher. My training was undergone at the Vajrasati School of yoga based at the Buddhist Centre in Brighton.

I currently teach in and around the city covering classes at the main yoga centres. My own experience of yoga has resulted in life changing improvements to both my health and my overall wellbeing.

I try to communicate this in my teaching by using the fundamental tools of yoga ( Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Mantra) to help students explore , investigate and find out for themselves how to get the most from their practice. I take a real interest in the people I teach and try to create a fun therapeutic environment so students can relax into the sessions and work intelligently with their bodies at a pace that is right for them.

The sessions at natural balance therapies are suitable for all levels but are particularly desirable for those who have not exercised for some time and are keen to get a health regime back in their lives, or those who have specific concerns or difficulties.

My qualifications Vajrasati School of Yoga. Intensive 200 hour Teacher training course. Registered school as accredited by Yoga alliance"
